Truth
“Everything is falling apart and I feel so lost…”
And although it may seem as if everything is falling apart, it isn’t! It just means that you are going through changes and that’s a good thing. And this time in your life could be a godsend for you. Maybe this time and this experience is here for you to reassess your priorities, help you figure out who you are and what you want out of life and for yourself.
“I was a shy, ugly duckling who was bullied by others…”
I don’t mean to come off harsh, but I see it so much nowadays, especially with the invention of Instagram and social media. There’s a false sense of self-worth that pervades our society that is based upon looks and a defined set of standards of what beauty is.
“I always attract shitty, abusive friends…”
You are your best friend, your biggest supporter, your ride or die. You may have others in life who will treat you with the respect and reverence that you deserve, but no one can love you the way you love yourself or treat you as well as you can treat yourself.
“My partner of 4 years is bisexual and has been cheating on me…”
Do you think that if someone truly loves you, they would cheat on you? Going further, if your partner truly trusted you or believed you both had an unconditional love, a very accepting love, do you think he would have kept his bisexuality a secret?
“Why do people cheat?”
People cheat because they cannot be honest with others, let alone themselves. And if you cannot truly be honest with yourself there is definitely no way that you can truly love yourself. And if you cannot love yourself, you cannot love anyone else. And people who cheat just do not have enough self-love to own their truths.
“I was sexually abused growing up…”
The courage it takes to open up about this experience is immense. Instead of letting the past define you or hold you back you are deciding to look it in the face.
