Being able to recognize your energy flow from someone else’s will make it that much easier for you to erect vibrational boundaries that will keep out the lower vibrations of others.
You, my good friend, have just hit the nail on the head. Yes, you should focus on the unconditional, non-toxic love that you can give yourself but also on forgiving the past hurts and experiences inflicted upon you by your parents.
Healing is a process, one that may not happen overnight. And it’s hard. It’s hard to stare your pain in the face and relive your traumatic experience. It’s hard to think that the people you trusted, cherished and loved betrayed you.
Life isn’t about perfection. It’s about finding your true self, loving your true self and living an authentic life. And the path to that authenticity is a steep and winding road. One which will take you on turns, up hills and valleys that you thought would take you to your destination but actually turned out not to.
People cheat because they cannot be honest with others, let alone themselves. And if you cannot truly be honest with yourself there is definitely no way that you can truly love yourself. And if you cannot love yourself, you cannot love anyone else. And people who cheat just do not have enough self-love to own their truths.
I don’t think we actually do. If you hate the one you are with, should you be with that person?
