I’m 19 years old and I have really bad cellulite and stretch marks on my thighs, and I don’t know why. I’m so self-conscious so I won’t wear dresses or shorts! I’ve tried everything to get rid of them, but nothing has helped.
This is something a lot of us suffer from, men and women. Stretchmarks just mean you gained weight, grew or loss weight really fast. Stretch marks are nothing to be afraid of. Most of the population has stretchmarks, whether it’s on their thighs, hips, back, shoulders or breast, they have them.
Although society likes to paint perfection as something to strive towards, having stretch marks is not something to be ashamed of or to be seen as an imperfection. You’re imperfectly perfect with your stretchmarks in ALL OF YOUR TIGER STRIPE GLORY! Don’t be ashamed to wear shorts and dresses. Don’t spend your time thinking about what others will think or say about your stretchmarks. Own your stretchmarks!
And know that if anyone judges you for your stretchmarks, the judgement isn’t towards you. A lot of people will misplace/project their judgement of themselves onto others to make themselves feel better. So just know that if someone is judging you for your stretchmarks, they feel a 100 times worse about their looks and their life.
